Here, I am placing one video about summary & Analysis of this novel. So, it will help you to understand my question - answers in a better way.
Question 1 : Why victor was not able to accept his dream experiment and it's results?
Answer :- As a young man, victor's interests lie in science , chemistry and of the balance and contrasts between life and death. While, a university student Victor Frankenstein becomes obsessed with the idea of creating life out of inanimate objects and starts considering how to do so. Victor thought that he was doing a service to humanity by creating a " New human." Victor 's only attention to the contrast between the living and the dead becomes an obsession. To study, he must experiment and to experiment he must collect samples upon which he practice. He looks at what causes life or deaths. He also stated that;
" I saw how the worn inherited the wonders of the eye and brain. "
Finally, Victor succeeded in discovering the cause of generation and new life. Now he is a creator of life. But, when Victor finished his experiment on creating a new human, he himself was horrified by what he has had made. Because the creature's look was very much ugly and awful. Victor thought that " What he had done? "
We can say that only for this particular reason that the creature's outer look was horrific and ugly. and how society will react upon this? Victor was not able to accept his dream experiment and it's results.
Question 2 :- What made creature a monster?
Answer :- The monster is victor Frankenstein's creation, assembled from old body parts and strange chemicals, animated by a mysterious spark. He entered life with eight feet tall and enormously strong, huge and giant body but with the mind of a new born. When he looked himself in the mirror, he realized about his physical appearance. He was abandoned by his own creator. He was confused also. He tried his best to integrate himself into the society.
Question 3:- Who is suffering from Deformity in the novel? Which kind of deformity and disability there? Who decides what deformity is?
Answer:- For answering this particular question first we have to understand that what is deformity and how society deals with it.
"A deformity is a major abnormality of an organism that makes a part of the body or function indifferently than how it is supposed to. "
A person with deformity always feel that "WhY only I am like these? " Or " Why I am different from others? " They have so much pain inside them. But, still they have to deal with their problems. Our society in which we all are living often views the person who is disabled as "less than human beings. " In our present Novel - Frankenstein the creature was suffering from Deformity. But, there is a different kind of disability which we all can observe. The creature has a grasp on language. Physical deformity present through the character of creature.
But, we can truly say that the real deformity is lying in the mindsets of the people. Everyone always judging others by looking only outer look, that's completely wrong. I am not saying that appearance doesn't matter. It matters. But, it is not like that outer appearance is everything. Society cannot judge all this.
Deformity is always bothers the person and wherever they go it is very much difficult for him / her. So what is more important is that we have to change our way of look.
Question 4 :- Who decides what beauty is? Is it for real Or superficial? ( outer beauty v/s inner beauty.)
Answer :- Generally it is said that Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone will define beauty in their own way. But, I think that everyone should get a chance to decide for themselves that - " What beauty is? "
Every person has their own different opinion on the word beauty and accordingly they will define it. Beauty standards are the socially constructed perfect model of physical appearance that if achieved by someone will qualify as Beautiful. These standards are impossible to achieve by one person. They often ask for fair skin, slim and perfect body and many other things. If anyone with one less quality is constantly reminded of that lack of quality. It is true that we are judging people based on their physical appearance.
There are two different types of beauty.
1.Outer beauty 2. Inner beauty.
Inner beauty refers to the personality of a person including his / her mind and character. Whereas outer beauty simply refers to the looks of a person. But, I would like to share my views upon this that outer beauty is temporary and it fades away with the time. But what is more important is someone's inner beauty which includes - soul, knowledge, nature and heart that will stay forever.
" Never judge a person by looking it's outer appearance only. "
Because In last someone's inner beauty will attract you more than outward appearance.
Question 5 :- Real villain in Frankenstein novel.
Answer :-If we look at first glance, the monster in Frankenstein is a symbol of evil, whose only desire is to ruin lives of other people. He has been called " A creature " that destroying many innocent lives. He can be viewed as antagonist of this novel. But, after the novel is looked at on different levels,We can understand that creature was not at all responsible for everything.
The real villian of Frankenstein is his creator - victor rather than we put blame on creature. Because he was responsible for whatever happened. First, he made creature and after that because of his hideous look he abandoned his creation. When victor created the creature, he didn't take responsibility for it. He left him alone. It is totally unfair that to bring something into the world and then not to teach it that how to survive in the world.
I hope that my answers are helpful to you.
