This blog is inspired by Dr.Dilip sir barad - Department of English, Bhavnagar University. This blog is also a part of our thinking activity. Click  here to know more about Existentialism.

For this Particular blog sir told us to watch ten short videos and reading resources is also easily available on the link of Teacher's blog. After that we have to write down our own  thoughts that From each video which thought impressed the most and what will be our learning outcomes. At last we have to ask atleast five questions and Put it as a class comment in Google classroom

So, In this blog I am going to share my understanding through the video and reading resources based on Existentialism.

                    • Flipped  Learning :-

Flipped learning is a new and morden concept of learning which differs from the tradition way if learning. Flipped learning is a teaching approach in which student engage with a new material Individuality at home in order to use classroom time to expand upon the topic inder the guidance of the teacher. It provides Student a new and free environment for learning.

 • Existentialism ( અસ્તિત્વવાદ) :-

Existentialism is a form of Philosophical inquiry that explores the issue of human existence. Existentialist Philosophers  explore the Problems related to the meaning, Purpose and value of human existence and Personal agency. Existentialism is a philosophy that emphasizes on individual existence, Freedom and Choice.

Now Let us try to understand that what each video tries to convey us about the Philosophical Concept of Existentialism. I want to tell one thing to viewers that Please watch the entire video on my blog because I will only write that which thought impressed me the most..So If one can  watch the entire video than It will help you in your better understanding..

    Video 1 :-

This video talks about a brief Introduction of an Existentialism. Everyone believed that It first started with Soren kierkegaard, and Followed by Nietzche, Dostovysky, Heidegger, Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir and Albert Camus. Their views are different from each other. But, Ultimately they talked about Existentialism. In this video we can also understand that Existentialism is a triangle concept which talks about Individuality, Freedom and Passion.

   Video 2 :-

This video discussed about what is Absurd reasoning. Through this video we can get idea that when one is feeling low and felt that there was no any point in living a life. It leads towards Sucide. Many People died because they thought their life is not worth living. May be they found it Purposeless and Meaningless.

According to Albert Camus , ' Sucide is an individual act. ' I am totally agree with this concept of Albert Camus that Sucide is an individual act. ' Beggining to think is the Beggining to undermind. ' This video also reminds us of the movie - ' Stay ' which talks about the same concept.

 Video  3 :-

Feeling of Absurd is not for all. In this particular video I understood that Albert Camus rejected to being an Existentialist because it suggests that have Faith in God. While , Albert Camus rejected that idea and says that embrace the Absurdity.

   Video 4 :-

After the Period of both the World wars People were in so much despair and negativity was also there which gave birth to three main theories - Dadaism, Nihilism and Existentialism. Dadaism was an artistic movement which emerged as a response after the first world war. While Existentialism is a movement which emerged after world war - ll. It emphasis on one's quest for his / her own Individuality.

 Video 5 :-

This video talks about Existentialism is a gloomy philosophy. Idea which impressed me the most in this video is that - ' One should thak the responsibilities of the choices they have made and and ready to accept the consequences of it. ' Existentialism comes to people 's rescue and worked as a cure.

  Video 6 :-

This video explains that Existentialism and Nihilism are not the same thing. They both are different from each other. Every Existentialist fought against Nihilism in one or the other way.

 Video 7 :-
The primary goal of this video is about better understanding of Existentialism. This video explains that Existentialism is not a philosophical system. But it can be best classified as a movement. Existentialism delas with ' a problem of life as a human being.' It shared common questions like ;

   • Why I am here?
• What does it mean to be human ?
• How should I live my life ?

The thought which impressed me from this video is that :- ' Existentialist addressed that what we don't need is a divine Perspective. But, we more need human Perspective. '

According to Nietzsche :- ' Human , all too human . '

This video also talks about Jean Paul Sartre 's statement about '  Existence Precedes Essence' in his essay - ' Existentialism is a Humanism.' video ends with the explanation about difference between Existentialism and Nihilism.

  Video  8 :-

This video based on Fun learning. In this video the speaker is talking about Existentialism and Frederick  Nietzche. Imagine that we have to Explain about Existentialism to Five years old child. It is very difficult that how to make him / her understand about this Philosophical movement called - Existentialism. It is a funny video. At last , children Pronounced the word Existentialism in a different way. They pronounced like - ' Eggsalentlalism.' or   Exatentalum.

Video 9  :-

This video talks about Eric Dodson personal experience of being an Existentialist. He discussed that how Existentialism connected with our daily life. From this Particular video the thought which impressed me thi most is that :- ' Existentialism talks about acceptance. It says that accept the human beings as they are.'

Holism is also one of the major and important part of Existentialism.

 Video 10 :-

This video talks about comparison between Existentialism and Essentialism. During Ancient time Plato and Aristotle wrote that everything has essence including us means human beings. Because an essence gives the Purpose to life. We all are born to do such kinds of things. Here two words can be noticed they are :- Being and Become..As we all are Human beings. But what is important is that we all want to become something in our life.

So, This is a small Informative blog on my understanding about Existentialism based on the video..
